Inline skating is one of the best adventures that your kids can have while at home. It’s a great outdoor and indoor game that they can enjoy and at the same time be able to keep fit. The experience one has while doing in line skating is mostly influenced by the kind of skates one has. That is why you need to grab your kids the best inline skates. A good pair of skates will make it easy and safe to skate and give your kids the ultimate skating experience.

As for kids, there are mainly two types of skates that may be used, Quad skates and roller blades. Quad skates have four wheels, two in front and two at the back to help in creating balance while skating. Roller blades on the other hand have 4-5 wheels in a straight line, they don’t offer much balance but they are good for exercising and training. From recent reviews on the two skaters, Quad skates are more recommended for kids as they are safe, comfortable and provide a balance.

Some of the factors that you need to consider in choosing inline skates include:

Wheels

Wheels are very important as they influence the performance of the skates. They have an influence on the movability, quality and the kind of skating you do. Smooth wheel are more suitable for outdoor skating while hard wheels are more suitable for indoor skating.

Bearings

Bearings are what will allow you to turn and change your angle. If the bearing is high, it will help you to turn easily and faster.

Skate boot

This is what supports the foot and ankle. If the ankle is held firmly then it means the chances for an injury are very slim. As for kids, the best bet would be a soft shell boot.  Not only is it best suited for beginners but it is also very comfortable and gives maximum support. The boot should have a high quality boot liner that has moisture absorbing qualities. It should have a good foot bed too to allow the feet to breath.

Brakes

Every inline skate has a break system installed in them. It is important to check the kind of breaks the skates has and if it is adjustable to the height. Breaks will prevent accidents and make sure that your kids are safe.

Frames

Frames are what attach the wheels to the boot. Inline skates have frames that are made from different materials that can either be plastic or metal. Metal frames are considered as better since they are high quality and can offer faster speeds. Its downside however is the price. The best kind of frame should be light and at the same time strong and rigid so that the boot and the wheels are attached well.

Closure

The closure will determine the level of comfort of the skater. They are the ones that will prevent you from getting derailed while you skate. Most of the time the closures can either be lace or buckle.
